Pathways to registration with the ARBV
Depending on your experience, there are 3 different pathways to registration as an architect in Victoria.
Registering as an architect
To work as an architect in Victoria, you must be registered with the Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV). Registration helps ensure the quality and safety of Victoria's built environment and protects the reputation of the architectural profession.
Registering as a company or partnership
To work as an architectural company or partnership in Victoria, you must be registered with the Architects Registration Board of Victoria.
Manage your ARBV registration
Manage your registration using the ARBV Portal. Renew your individual registration, company or partnership approval, and make changes to your registration.
Renewal of registration or approval
To maintain your registration, you may be required to complete renewal each year. Architects (practising) must complete mandatory declarations and pay the annual renewal fee. Approved companies and partnerships must pay an annual renewal fee. Architects (non-practising) do not need to pay an annual renewal fee.
