100 Years of Registered Architects in Victoria

In 2023 the ARBV partnered with Open House Melbourne to host a walking tour of the city of Melbourne called "100 Years of Registered Architects in Victoria".

The Victorian Government acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Custodians of the land and acknowledges and pays respect to their Elders, past and present.

Hosted by Jill Garner AM, Victorian Government Architect and Giorgio Marfella, ARBV Chairperson, the ARBV's walk to celebrate 100 years of registered architects in Victoria was held on Saturday, 29th July 2023.  

Walking their way through the ages, the group visited a significant building from each decade inlcuding; the Nicholas Building, Alcaston House, the Russell Street Police Station, Orica House, NGV, Treasury Place, Shell House, the Evan Walker Bridge, Fed Square and the RMIT Design Hub.
