The Architects Act 1991 (“the Act”) provides for the registration of individuals as architects and the approval of architectural partnerships and architectural companies. The Board requires assessment of an individual’s Standard of Professional Practice before granting registration. This is done through assessment of an individuals skills and knowledge.
The main pathways to registration are:
- the Architectural Practice Examination (APE)
- the Experienced Practitioner Assessment (local and overseas practitioners)
- Mutual Recognition
