Accreditation of Architecture Programs
Under the Architects Act, the Board accredits architecture programs at
Victorian Universities. This accreditation or approval is for the
purposes of registration of Architects.
The first requirement for registration is having an approved
qualification. Accreditation by the Board
is also an assurance for the public that architects have appropriate
qualifications.
Architecture programs are reviewed and evaluated every five years by a
national panel of experts that includes representatives of the ARBV,
universities and the profession.
Each year, a review panel visits each University to monitor progress
with accredited programs.
